Very ethereal.

Is it a trick of the light, or is that garment just a bit, ehrm, transparent? Has GreatH just given us Bret in a see-through nightie?

It's OK Nonch! I went back and had another look at my camera - seems it just didn't download everything properly so here's a few more... I had to stop myself from saving every frame!

My faves are the ones where he's tipping his hat (flirting?!) with the maid. Lovely... *sigh*

Yay! So good to see those again!
As it was completely unexpected when I saw it I spent most of the film in a sort of apoplexy and didn't take it in too well :lol:

and yis, he was totally flirting with that maid :wink:

Of course in my fantasies, I imagined him a bit older and scruffier, but still *whew, fans self* he is too charming in the hat tip pictures. *swoon* Gloves too. I am so thankful to the camera god's that those photo's survived. :prayer:

So did he speak with a proper English accent or his kiwi accent? Can you tell us a bit more about the story? Why does he die, and why is he in his pj's so much? :lol:

BTW, I emailed the Rotorua Museum asking if there was any way to view this film from the US. I got a very quick, polite response telling me "no."

but I think it may have been british....?

He died 'cause the volcano blew up (in 18something..?) and a house fell on him :lol:

edit: oh, and that happened at night, hence the running round in his jim jams

well, you know, there were associated tremors etc and the house fell down. The volcano didn't actually, you know, throw a house at him or anything :lol:

And yeah, it really did take me a bit to realise it was him. Well, it took my brain a little while. I think as soon as he was on screen my tummy did a little flip (how embarrassing :roll:

) but my brain went
"wait, what? no, surely not. Where'd he go? was it him? is he coming back? oh wait, there he is... yes, I think it is. wow! it is him!! :shock:
