I tell you what - you should make up a pattern and sell it! On etsy, maybe?
That way people could riff off it, change the colors, tweak it, or just make them right from the pattern. I would so buy a pattern.
I haven't worked on something like that in years, but I always said the way to make money is crafts is not to make a lot of crafts, but have a run of great patterns. You've got one right there. Not that it's all about the Benjamins, mind you, but I think it's got a great appeal!
That's a great idea, MM... if only I had a clue how to write a pattern!
I always just make stuff up as I go along. With the beer cozies, I just keep a beer bottle nearby and try the cozy on it every few rows to know if I need to increase or decrease stitches.
Afterwards, I'll think to myself, "I should've written that down for when I make this again," but then I never remember to actually do that. If I did write it down, I doubt anyone would understand it but me.
I've never been good with patterns. Anytime I've tried to make something from a pattern it comes out crazy.
Thanks for the kind words everyone!
I hope Jemaine likes them as much as you all do. (And Bret, if he gets to see them.)
