My post office has been screwy lately. Sometimes we get mail by 10am, sometimes not until 5:30, and our mail person seems to change every few weeks. The apt management office says that they have gotten mail really late (good thing we dont mail the rent check  )

With all kinds of budget cuts, I think they are scrambling to get the same stuff done with far fewer people. Kinda like every other business these days. :?

Yes, that plus the plan of doing away with Saturday mail delivery sounds like a company desperate to stay afloat. (pardon the water reference - guess it's on my mind  )

I hope not. I need my mail on Saturday dammit!

When out in this godforsaken hellhole of cow & corn country where I work the mailman comes around 9:00am. I'm not used to such early delivery. It's ridiculous. In places I've worked that were actually located in civilization the mailman usually came around noon which gave us time to get mail together for him to collect. Oh and the mailmen out here don't wear uniforms. It's really odd to have a hillbilly in overalls hand you the mail. (can you tell I'll never be a country girl?)

It looks as though the change is imminent. It was in our paper this morning. The Post Office is losing scads of money because of the internet, and they say there's not enough mail on Saturday to warrant delivery.

SW, that really surprises me that those letter carriers can get away with bumpkin attire. I've never seen a postal worker not wearing the full uniform.

I would love earlier mail delivery. Sometimes it's as late as 5:30pm, and in winter it really sucks to have to get your mail in the dark. :x

They even wear bumpkin attire in the post office! I asked about it once and they said because it's considered a rural route zone (or something like that) they aren't required to wear the uniform. Sounds fishy to me.

I still don't have mine, grrrrrr......and I somehow stupidly deleted the confirmation email where i could have tracked it from. Oh well. *Hopes for tomorrow.*

We got a new mailman and instead of mail arriving around 11 am, it's now coming anywhere from 2-6 pm.Image

They always wear the uniform though....

Mine was in Houston yesterday, so I was expecting to get it today. Just checked the tracking and now it's in Chino, California?! What the flip??

Houston to Chino? :wtf: That's near me. You'd probably get it faster if I just picked it up for you and sent it over.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh snap!! Looky, looky!

Jemaine is hugging my right bosom & he's hugging it pretty tightly (not that I'm complaining) I'm glad I ordered a large. It seems only bosomless munkchiny folk would fit into a small or medium. Jeesh!
