Hee hee! For the longest time I thought Fisher and Paykel was some kind of ice cream product. :lol:

There's a guy running for city councilman here whose name is McKenzie, so I keep seeing "McKenzie for City Council" signs everywhere. :thumb:

Oddly enough there was a billboard up here for Fisher & Paykel. Hubby pointed it out to me and I was :shock:

. We then spent the next 10 minutes pretend-arguing how it was pronounced - him insisting it was 'pay-kle' and I that it was 'pie-kle', and repeatedly quoting the song for support! :lol:

(Must be my NZ accent.

Late to the game, but those are all awesome! I remember being thrilled when Fisher and Paykel commercials started airing in the US (or at least in NC) shortly before I moved. Who knew you could get that excited about a brand of home appliances! :oops:

Haha, it is pronounced Pie-kel. We have a F & P dryer and fridge, excellent quality! But the dishwasher was rubbish, so mum bought an Asko.
