What the Folk!

On Monday our fabulous, weird and wonderful (not quite) imaginary orchestra will be 1 year!

One year on from our very imaginary beginning we are a bunch of experienced, string tickling, proper ukuladies We've posted videos and we've had impromptu gigs in public

To mark this occasion I hope any and all ukuladies who can find the time will post a video, either playing or just sending a greeting. If you don't play the uke or you don't have the opportunity to record something, a written greeting will be just as welcome

Wow, has it been a year already? Happy one year anniversary to us! I don't know if I'll play but I'll definitely try to record a video to mark this historic occasion.

I can't believe it's only been a year... it feels like the WTFIUO has been around for a lot longer than that.
Sadly, this reminds me that's it's been almost a year since I got my uke... yet I've yet to learn to play anything very well.
I'm going to blame grad school for that
Of course it has nothing to do with my laziness

Happy One Year Anniversary all you crazy, wonderful, talented ladies of the world! I am determined to find a way and the time to record a video today to mark the occasion. It is a pleasure to be a part of this group, and a HUGE thank you to biscuit for the vision and leadership that brought us all together in this special way.

Took me 20 minutes to get that recorded. Webcam was not cooperating. I hope everyone tries to get a video up, even if it's short and sweet like mine. I like hearing everyone's accents.

Faith, my accent seems to be all over the shop at the moment! In town at the weekend nearly every second person I spoke to asked me if I was from the states Go figure.

Happy one year anniversary, WTFIUO! Can't believe a year has already gone past and what a wonderful year it has been! WTFIUO has brought so many of us together and I have really enjoyed learning to play the uke and sharing my passion for the uke with all of you lovely people and the Uke Corner has been an excellent resource. I'll never forget the uke jam session I had with biscuit, Zebra and Panda in Trafalgar Square. Thanks so much biscuit for making WTFIUO what it is today and long may it all continue!
