Well that's a horribly insane change in the weather wherever you are.

I think the "one day good, one day bad" cycle is starting again here. I swear, since about 2007, between the months of April and August, there will be at least one week in each month where one day will be gorgeous with really warm temperatures, then the next will be a total wash out.

I wasn't trying to be obscure or sneaky kipples - there's a link in my 'here' ;) .

It's really quite normal for us to have a crazy spring, especially the month of April. But with no snow for sooo long we had been lulled into a false sense of security. I miss it!!

I know, I saw it!

Admittedly my very first glance I didn't see it and thought you had forgotten to attach a photo or something.

It's like my mum asking me tonight what did the brown bread taste like and I answered "..like brown bread"

Calgary's getting snow, bout 10 cm. I live a few hours away but we're getting hit with rain- and I'll take it after the crazy weather we've had the past couple weeks

Well, the Northeast is in the middle of a very nasty heat wave. Today in Providence, RI it was 102 degrees, (38.88 celsius) the hottest here in 20 years.
Yesterday in the middle of rehearsal in Warwick, the power went out, which meant no lights, no power for playing the music they were learning, and...no AC. It was a citywide blackout, which luckily only lasted a couple of hours, and then everything came back on. :D

How's everyone else doing? I know Philly and NY were hit hard as well.
How about the rest of the country? Are you coping?

Well, it's hot as hell up here too, but we're only hovering around the 35 celsius mark. ;)

We're all remembering how cool last summer was, always wanting what we don't have. I must say the last week of June was absolutely ideal - warmish temps with low, low humidity. I'll take it!

I'm surprised we're not seeing more thunderstorms, but they're not due until maybe tomorrow. Please, come and cool things off a bit!

I talked to my parents in NC yesterday and they're getting some pretty hot temperatures, too. We're supposed to get up to 27C today and 31C tomorrow. Nothing like y'all are getting, but when you walk or bike everywhere and nowhere has A/C, it starts feeling a lot hotter!

We've been in the 90's every day this week with heat indexes making it feel like 100-ish. Today we were in the pool and I was keeping my eye on some ominous clouds rolling in from the northwest....when they arrived, it was with a gusty cold front and I swear the temps dropped 20 degrees in a matter of minutes. It's raining now and is much needed.

It has truly been a most uncomfortable summer, what with the high temps and the unbearable humidity. There's been a little bit of relief from all the hot, muggy mess, but it's due to come back soon. :?

But after watching the news tonight, I saw the devastating floods in Iowa, and thought of you, nonch - is everything okay where you are, or have you been affected by all the rain?

Okay, time to bump this thread and see how everyone is faring, with all the rough weather that's been on the rampage across the country recently.
Every time I see a map with snow in Minnesota, Iowa, Chicago, Detroit, etc, I think of all the WTFers possibly affected. Then there's the soggy Northwest, and now LA. (and of course, Texas - how ya doin'?) Tell us, tell us, how is it where you are?
