:yay: Excellent! I'm glad you enjoyed the Q&A session. That's great that it was low-key and more intimate. ;) I can only imagine how gorgeous Taika is in real life! That's a great question you asked too. I'm really looking forward to seeing what Taika has in store next (well once Boy has been released here :waiting: ;) ). I'm sure the success of Boy will open even more doors for him to take on larger projects such as making stuff in the US like he may have indicated that he'll do. It must have been a wonderful experience seeing both Taika and James in real life! Thanks so much for recapping your evening, hel! :thumb:

     Oh Helgecko! How cool. I love every bit of your recap! You are too hilarious, and what a great question to ask too! Facinating.

Did you sneak any photos? Where were you sitting? (translation...how close to Taika) No autographs or anything?

Guh, I still can't believe it. Wow. I can't wait to see this movie, and what Taika comes up with next.

Glad you guys like :D

And sorry, but no photos or signatures...
I had my camera, but felt a bit weird about getting it out in a fairly "intimate" setting, so decided against it. Sorry :( I was sitting with my friends pretty much dead-centre of the (quite small) theatre.

Oh, and I thought of another funny little thing that happened: one lady, when picked to ask her question just said "Kia ora Taika. You're very handsome." Taika just went "uh.." and then she asked her question. It was a really bizarre little moment :roll2:

And no. It wasn't me.

LOL! That's almost as bad as asking Taika out on a date during the Q&A session.

He is single right now, yes? :D

Taika talking about being up against Te Aho (the boy who plays Rocky) for best supporting actor.

Since the DVD is coming out in NZ next month, I guess I have to look into buying it. :)

Haha, it's mentioned at the end of that video and I read about it on another website. :)

Yay, Hel!!! :yay:
It must have been exciting to see Taika and James in such an intimate setting. And you asked a great question.
As everyone else has said, I look forward to seeing this - some day... :waiting:

Oh, MM, :sosad: Taika's single? That makes me sad. :(

Yeah, they did an interview about Boy earlier this year and they talked about Eagle vs Shark and Loren was mentioned as "who Taika was in a relationship with at the time." Fangirl hearts all over this great world broke.

Hi guys :D

Okay, so there's not a whole lot to tell about the Q&A, it was pretty low-key.
It was great though, and I just have to say on a brief superficial note: Taika's gorgeous in real life

Great write up hel :) Thank you. I"ll write more later about it when I have a bit of free time.

And on a totally superficial note. See, I've been saying it for years. In real life, Taika is lovely on the eye  I found him far more attractive to look at than either Bret or Jemaine in person. :worry:

I remember you saying that on numerous occasions. I've always thought Taika is hot. Not, you know, *Jemaine* hot, but still hot. ;)

Boy is out on DVD! Well, on the 3rd, which is in about 6 hours time!
But it can be pre-ordered before then anyway if you can't wait till it comes out in the US (I've still not heard anything about US distribution - has anyone?). These DVDs would be region 4 of course, so you'd need a multi-region DVD player...

Anyways, here is a selection of links, from the cheapest price to the most expensive for you to check out if you want.
I haven't looked at the international ordering/postage info on any of them though - which might make quite a difference. I'll leave it up to you lot to decide which is the best deal/most trustworthy/fastest etc. Of course if you wait a few months, the price is likely to come down a bit too. DVDs usually start out at NZ$35-$40 and eventually come down to around NZ$20-25 depending on how popular it is.
