Yay, glad you're enjoying Rocky and Balls and Sophie Madeleine's stuff! I found out about them through Uke Hunt and I've been playing I Heart You Online on the uke for a while now and I agree that it's so much fun to play.
I'm glad you like it, kipples. Maybe a couple of us could try a duet, harmonies and stuff, if biscuit still has the ability to pair up two videos? With just a few phrase changes...the song could work nicely for the forum. Where is biscuit anyway?
I have also been working on Hey, Soul Sister, and was amazed to see the uke in the acoustic video is just like my new (used) Fender tenor .
I want to point that camera right at the uke. It's just four chords. E, B, C#m and A. He is barring the E and I get a severe cramp in my hand trying to do it. It's really the only way to change from a B to an E and back that quickly though. Did you use those chords, LauraK or are there alternates?
I think I could still merge two recordings, if I can find the programme I used.. I've changed computers since working on it last year. Or maybe it's on hubby's in which case I'll be happy to help you anytime after 12th October
Thanks to Ariadne at RAC for my gorgeous new avi :-)
Cuz he's a pro and has innate talent- like you and others have. I just enjoy myself.
I'm kind of all over right now....Jason Mraz's I'm Yours (also w/ easy chords found at UkeHunt) Teenager in Love, Tim Minchin's Not Perfect (which also describes how I play that song, but I LOVE it), The Glory of Love, Dream a Little Dream of Me....(playing this song at the proper speed, lol.)
It has lots of tricky (for me) chord changes and fun strums. The F (with added 1st string) switch to Fm is killing me, but I love a challenge. So fun. I just wish I could sing, then I would record it. Her voice is so beautiful.
Oh! And Venus, did you know that Sophie played a gig in New York City on September 10th!!?!?!?!?! We just missed her.
