Ack. Stop Groaning at me. Yes, the holidays will be here before ya know it.

Thought I'd pitch the Christmas card exchange & Secret Santa idea for the holiday season and see if it sparks interest.

I usually get my cards out Thanksgiving weekend or thereabouts and since that is painfully close thought I'd put this in motion. Since we have members far & wide it will allow time for shopping & posting items to be delivered in time for Christmas.

If we need to post names, addresses, email addy's we can do that at member's thread. Just thought I'd post the message here for all to see.

I can't believe it's already that time of year. I definitely want to do the Christmas card exchange again. It was fun getting cards from everybody last year.

We can still do the gift exchange on Elfster. I'll be happy to set it up this year (and maybe participate). Worked like a charm. Might even want to do the card exchange on it.

I think I'll do the cards, but as much as I'd love to, I don't think I can manage the Secret Santa.

Err... I'm potentially in, can someone explain how it works?

Everyone who wants to gets cards posts their address and you send Christmas cards to everyone on the list. Some people last year were talking about doing e-cards because of the cost of postage, so we listed emails too. I lost my list of addys from last year, so I'm going to need that list again.

For Secret Santa, I can reactivate the list I set up on Elfster last year. You just register, and it pretty much takes care of the rest - sends you reminders, info. You can also ask anonymous questions of other Santa participants. I highly recommend it, and will be more than happy to oversee Secret Santa this year.

I'm in for the card exchange again! That was so much fun!

I still have all my cards in a special place. I even saved the stamps from all over the world.
