Has anyone ever seen Bret randomly in a shop or in the street? Had enough balls to approach him?

Ah, I think you're one of the few ones here geographically situated to have that particular experience. Lucky devil!

Well I did see him randomly...but not in Wellington.

I worked at this tourist information centre over the summer in Napier, and I look up one day and who should be standing at the counter but Bret. I even went to go talk to him...but I chickened out. Been kicking myself ever since. Poos.

Haha, I did stare at him! I think he got a bit uncomfortable with the wierdo standing at the counter watching his every move around the shop.

I think he was there because the day before (New Years Day) there was a music festival in a city up the coast called Rhythm and Vines. I think the Black Seeds may have played there, and Bret was making his way down the country back to Wellington. Hmm.

Eeeeeeeee!!!!!

A real Bret sighting! :D

And Napier pops up again! I keep coming across mentions of Napier. First a random travel story headline in gmail, which then made me realized that that was where the gannet footage in Return of Fly My Pretties was, and now a Bret sighting there! Cool nipples!

By the way, do you know anything about Bret doing some cabaret show in Wellington last week?

My brother-in-law and his family are emigrating to Wellington in the near future. Guess who's going to be saving up for the air fare. So my children can still see their cousins. Obviously. Nothing to do with Bret- or indeed Jemaine-spotting.

Firstly - Bret sighting - Eeeee! Too cool. I would have stood there, eyes wide, for a few seconds, then run away. Then come back and peaked around the corner of something. :sofa:

I'm a dork

I'm hoping for a (random..heh) Conchord sighting when I vacation in NZ next January. *crosses fingers*

Andria, you should email them and tell them you're going to be there and that you need an escort for an evening to find some cool places  ....... ok, so I just totally cracked myself up with that one.......my brain just went in all sorts of directions :horny: !!! NO, but really - email them and ask if they would be interested in meeting up for a drink or something! The worst that can happen is that they say no.... (and you know Bret, if a woman asks for a kiss, he doesn't say "NOoo"..... I love the way he says that in the song!! )

Email them asking a proper question? ME? My emailing abilities only include the followoing -
Teasing
Swooning
Babbling
Rambling
That's it. No where on the list does it say Embarrassing Requests for Hook-Up while in town. :P
Nah, I don't know. When it gets closer to the date I may work up the nerve, but I don't want to bother them. I'm just one of many fans. If they did that for all their fans, they'd be quite loaded all the time! ;)

Nice thought, though. Yo, FoTC, wanna throw one back while I'm in town?
