Drat! Curses! Why, why?

This must mean that something better is coming your way, maybe a TPF concert in your living room.

No they didn't reschedule. Bah! When they announced the cancellation everyone kinda waited for them to say that they would, but no... Just "keep a hold of your tickets for free entry into the zoo this month" - Nice, but I'd rather see TPF play! I'm gonna keep an eye on the zoo website just in case they have a change of heart...

That's it exactly SW, perfectly said! When it started raining he said "there's nothing for it, we'll just have to go harder!" and he did - the last couple of songs he was throwing himself around like an extremely passionate nutter - excellent!

I really was having a good time despite the rain. Perhaps even because of the rain - there was a real sense of community, 'we're all here getting saturated together so let's have fun with it', kind of thing happening. So it was extra disappointing when, having already gotten soaked, it was all called off. But I think everyone kinda knew it was going to rain (hence the fact we all actually HAD umbrellas!) as it was SO darn hot all afternoon with crazy humidity levels. The kind of muggyness that makes you not want to move at all cos so much as a twitch will make you break out in a sweat! Ick! But I guess we were all hoping it would be just a light spit and that's it - I know I was - but actually in hindsight I'm surprised there was no lightening!

Never mind. I'll get to see TPF eventually... next time, for SURE!

I can imagine how disappointing it was, but hey! They're from NZ, so you've got more chances to see them than we do. They're playing at the Festival of Colour in April and then... summer in Europe!



They'll be hanging around here till July, maybe August.

What a bummer. It sounds like it was a great time til the rain got crazy. Too bad they didn't say "come back in x-hours and they'll play if the rain has slowed or stopped." Especially since there was no lightning.

SW- yeah, I guess someone getting struck by lightning would put a damper on things, eh? Were they ok?

Lightning strike girl was okay. I had to watch the musicians that I didn't get to see surrounding her hospital bed on the news that night.

Well, if I ever have to be struck by lightning, I'm going to hope it's at a Conchords show.
