Those photos are paparazzi quality, methinks. Was Jemaine all alone?!?!? I am just sick for him.

I hope this doesn't get a ton of press.

I think so!! Look how Jemaine is all clean as he approaches the photographer ..probably asking him/her to leave him alone..and then he has hot chocolate all over his coat I'm livid! poor J!

The pic we were all loving, I now see in a different light.

He was obviously being harrassed...he's never splashed water at fans before. But the response of throwing hot chocolate on him is deplorable.

They've both always been nothing but gracious and amiable with fans. Even to the point of enduring and indulging most every whim. I hope Jemaine doesn't let this bother him too much.

I don't want to jump to conclusions. I don't think the blogger (http://lagrandefille.tumblr.com) had anything to do with it. She got that photo from another source. The photos were all taken by Bauer Griffin and I don't think Bauer did it either because as the hot chocolate was splashed on him, Jemaine was looking in another direction and he seemed pretty upset with someone else. I have no idea why anyone would do that. And I still think Bauer is scum for continuing to take photos of the whole incident.

Oh my god! yeah, hot chocolate stains and everything, but it's called HOT chocolate for a reason! and the poor guy's done so much to keep the paparazzi out of his life that UGH i don't even know where I'm going with that but JEEZ!!! and in one of those pictures it even looks like he's being a good sport and showing the d*** with the camera the hot chocolate on his jacket.

Well, that's what scuzzy paparazzi do, right? Whatever they can to get a emotional- and preferably out-of-character- reaction they can film and exploit for $$.

Poop on them.

You've done your research, Vanessa I just meant i thought the person who was taking the pictures was the one who threw hot chocolate at him. But maybe you're right and it wasn't that photographer.

A few of those definitely show Jemaine silently asking "Was this really necessarry???"

His lovely wool coat...hopefully not ruined. But now a bad stain on his memory of this time in NY.

It's upsetting. Jemaine has never been anything but nice to fans. Who would anyone do that?

Even if I got splashed with water, I'd go up and say, "man, what was that for?" I wouldn't throw my drink at him. That's not good.

Please, someone post some cute photos to get our minds off this.

Aw, this really sucks. I hope his time in NY goes uphill from here. I still cant believe it. in the 10th picture he really looks like he's about to kill someone, but then you see that last one, and...

I'm with you, Amanda. I'm trying not to think about the whole incident and just admiring the non-hot chocolate pics.

Those photos are heartbreaking. You can tell how frustrated he is. I feel like on some level, I'm invading his privacy simply by looking at these pictures. The pain on his face is palpable.

It seems like Jemaine has always been so kind and obliging to his fans, it makes me wonder what happened that provoked him like this. I'm just happy there wasn't any video/audio of this. I can't even imagine the words that were exchanged...

If I were him, I would have collapsed into tears the minute I returned to the hotel room/office/cab, etc. I hope someone gave him a much-needed hug after what a bad day he's had.
