What the Folk!

Hey now, SF..... Jemaine said to me: "We'll be back..." and he said it again in a recent interview! (In the Rio thread, I believe.) Jemaine wouldn't lie to us! You'll get to see him....because I know I sure as hell plan to see them again!

Thanks Nancy and Laura. I know that they probably will be back on tour, but I seriously doubt they'll ever come to Italy... or even in a quite near country. Plus I don't have that much money available nor people that will eventually come with me to attend the show in a distant place...
Anyway, I'll keep an eye on the videos and photos you'll post... if the guys maintains their promise of touring

Yes, my first show was Chicago. It was Tuesday April 28th. Nonchers and Eorious attended the Wednesday night show. It is unfortunate that I had not met them yet. Drat.

I met Eugene that night. We had a very quick chat. There was only one Chicago meet-n-greet with Jemaine and Bret and that was on Wednesday night. I would meet Jemaine later in the tour . I didn't meet Bret until a year later.

I was so hooked after my first Conchords show. I loved them already but once I saw them live . I was on cloud nine. I knew they had 2 shows in Milwaukee for the upcoming weekend. I had just seen them but knowing that they would be 90 minutes away from Chicago & there were 2 shows I set out to find a way. Milwaukee was only 4 days away. I had no car. So I found a bus & train schedule and began planning. I was so determined. I managed to find a ticket for the 1st Milwaukee show 2 days later on Thursday. I got 4th row Jem side. Then I kept working on it until I found a ticket for the 2nd show. The shows were amazing. I met Nigel that night, he was very kind and gentle. I waited until about 3am for Jemaine. No Jemaine or Bret Ok, so I would try again...

Just 3 weeks later I flew to Las Vegas. Another amazing show. I had awesome seats. After the show I met Eorious, Vmh, and several girls from the other fan forum. Just after the show I ran into Arj and he signed for me and we had a bit of a chat. That night would be the 1st time meeting Jemaine. I was so excited. My avatar pic is from that night. You see I had been carrying a gift to every show and in Vegas I was able to personally gift to Jemaine. Eorious is my hero, she took the pic of Jemaine reading my card. I couldn't have been more impressed by him.

The next morning I flew to San Francisco. One day later I saw 2 shows at Berkeley. That was my first time meeting SW, Sully, and Amanda. I had the pleasure of 6 shows in less than a month as well as meeting so many of you. It was amazing!

SW, Nonch, LauraK, Venus, Nancy, ScatteringFlowers thanks so much for the well wishes. Much appreciated.

ScatteringFlowers, HAVE FAITH! They will be back. I really do believe it. I just know that they will. They are off rejuvenating and doing other projects, but they will return again. I think that this year it may be Australia and New Zealand tours. Then they will be ready to return to the US, Canada, Europe. Keep the faith, it will happen.

Ah memories... it seems like a million years ago that Jemaine was straddling me in front of hundreds of people, lol. Yet it feels like just yesterday I was trying to hold back tears as he shouted his apologies from a moving vehicle as he drove away without stopping to talk to us. Why is it the good memories fade away into a warm distant glow while the painful ones remain as sharp as ever?

Unless my ears deceived me he didn't apologize. But I didn't hold it against him.

One year ago today was the first show of the Euro 2010. Nonch & I were front row center.

I'll only bore you with this stuff one more time. Today is the year anniversary of the 2nd Euro show in Amsterdam, again Nonch & I were front row. This was a particularly exciting show. The real excitement began when we noticed that the guys had tear away pants on and we could see some of Jemaine's silver sex suit popping through his snaps. Ooh the anticipation! And then there was chest hair, lots of chest hair. Phew, anyway, this is the first night that the world bore witness to this glory.





Then Bret got Sugalumpy & defiled my camera a little.

Then we got to pounce on the talent after the show. Not a bad night over all.

While I was away in NYC on Saturday, I celebrated my 3rd anniversary of joining WTF.
