Really? Awesome Suzy. I highly recommend the film.

I could be wrong but if I remember correctly, in this silly province a movie has to be dubbed into French for it to appear on screens in English. In other words, both versions have to be available. But that might only be for 'big' movies.

I'll definitely have to keep an eye out for it in August (seems soooo far away).

Ok wait....what does that mean? If you see get to see Boy , the voices will be dubbed in French- so it won't be Taika or James or any of the other actors speaking- and it'll be subtitled in English? Or just that they have to provide a copy like that to theaters for you to see it as it was filmed?

No, it's just that if a movie is available in English on, say, five screens, it also has to be available in French on five screens, as of the movie's release date. So if people want to see the movie in French they can without having to wait four weeks after the English release. That said, it usually means English releases are delayed here by about, oh, four weeks.

But I'm pretty sure smaller releases don't always get dubbed (or subtitled in some cases). But I don't actually really know what the heck I'm talking about. (or what I'm even doing here . Argh, I'm in the throws of some pretty evil procrastination!!! ).

Thank you I always wanted to organize and order everything I know about Taika and TPF and building websites is a great tool to do that. There's still a lot of work to do, but the most important things are already there. I'm glad others like something what I was actually doing for myself and to honour the Kiwis we love.

Sort of. He was in Washington D.C., is now in Michigan and later this week he's going to New Mexico as part of a Sundance program "Film Forward". And that's it from what I could find for now. I created a new menu Coming Events on our website some time ago, where I put anything what we can look forward to from Taika. If Taika is there, then it's noted down, if it's just a screening of Boy, then no Taika is mentioned in the link.

nope...I already had plans with my mil to take her to look at houses and condos and have her over for dinner after. :-/

I'm relying on Renee and Kelly to get good pics and facetime with Taika.

I told them I want a Taika sandwich photo. They'd better not let me down.
