Now that I've read the book, I now understand what the airport scene is all about! :roll2: I wonder what exactly bystanders have been witnessing? I'd love to watch them filming those scenes.

I'm curious about Bret's accent. Martin in the book was born in Bristol and raised in Sheffield. I'd love to hear him put on a regional English accent!

I recently realised that Ricky Whittle will be playing George East. OK, a little more eye candy for the ladies I see. ;)

Excellent! 8) I really want to ask Shannon Hale whether there are any major changes from the book to the script. (and maybe about Bret's accent). But I'm sure she won't say. Jerusha Hess co-wrote the screenplay and will surely leave her distinctive mark on the tale. I didn't see Nacho Libre...did anyone?

Ms. Hale posted a new blog post today. I enjoyed this bit:

The scenes where the actors improvise are my favorite. It's amazing to see the scenes I wrote played out with the words I wrote, but I know these lines so well, it's an extra treat to hear their improvised lines, like getting our own private movie. And these actors are so clever and funny, the things they come up with are wonderful. Who knows what and how much will end up in the final version, but it sure makes it fun to watch take after take, when you don't know what will come out of their mouths.

*sigh* How exciting! I'll wager that Bret is providing a few of the laughs. :) I wonder if this is Jerusha's style or if the actors are getting a bit carried away with a green director. Either way, I'm hoping for lots of DVD extras!

Georgia King seems to be feeling the cast chemistry as well. How delightful for them all! I hope this tone permeates the whole shoot. :)

Yes, I'd love to know if there are any major changes. I see there will be no Aunt Saffronia and Sir John and instead Mr and Mrs. Wattlesbrook will be merging those roles so it'll be interesting to see how that will come across on screen. Shannon Hale seems to be quite tight-lipped now but hopefully we'll find out more over the next few months.

Oh my lord! How did I miss this one? This is awesome news :D

So Bret's in England now? I'm going there in a week. Does anyone know where they're shooting? Just in case I should happen by 8-)

The books sounds funny. I'll have to get my hands on that. Sounds like perfect holiday literature :)

I've not heard exactly where they are filming, but I do know that it's a train ride away from London.

Perhaps you'll bump into a cast member visiting the city on a day off. (Ricky Whittle is on his way into town right now as a matter of fact) :shhh: When do you arrive in London? I'm so jealous, it's been too many years.

Could you die laughing that after all our talk of Bret in an Austen role, it's finally (sort of) happening?!??! :boogie:

I can't believe my luck. I think/hope Thorin will be back in Blighty too by the time I go, next week. This may be the stalkathon of my dreams 8-)

Yes, keep your amazing camera at the ready, biscuit! Happy Hunting! :D

A couple of photos popped up on Flickr of the airport shoot for Austenland. I don't see any of the stars though, does anyone else? (click on pic for large image)

Could the woman seated in the chair to the right of the camera be Stephenie Meyer? She has very thick hair...not sure if it's that curly though. Or perhaps Keri Russell?

I want to see the actors, lol! Yes, Bret too...but I'm excited to see them all now! :)

Yes, I was trying to figure out who that was sitting in the chair. :hrm:

:rolls: :rolls: No doubt...a sight to see. Wow.

Another interesting tweet...

For real??!?! A musical number...in the film?!?!? :D :woohoo:

Now I shall muse a moment about Bret singing and dancing to the erudite lyrics of Nelly....

(I said)
It's gettin' hot in here (so hot)
So take off all your clothes
I am gettin' so hot
(uh uh uh uh)
I wanna take my clothes off
Oh it's gettin' hot in here (so hot)
So take off all your clothes
I am gettin' so hot
(uh uh uh uh)
I wanna take my clothes off
Yeah yeah come on

:supz: :waggle: :nana:  :horny:

Does anyone have any guesses about how this will be inserted into the story? Is this going on early when Martin is teaching Jane to dance? or does the final ball just get WAY out of control! Or maybe Bret was simply being helpful sharing his dance moves with other cast members? :roll2: If so, I hope some of it makes it to the DVD extras.

Biscuit? Any sightings to report?

Yay for a musical number! Hmm, I'm curious about how it will fit into the film too. Maybe it's a little something extra for the credits? Very exciting nonetheless. :D
