Laura - I think that's kind of funny he thought "a woman around your age" wouldn't get the reference... didn't he find out about FOTC through you? You'll have to post a pic of his new glasses - I have a feeling I already know what they look like, though.
That first poster from MM's book is really cool, I'd love to have a sticker of it.
Lol, I think it was more him thinking that they're so obscure and his weird Mom loves them, so surely this professional will never have heard of them.
He was tickled that she did, let me tell you.
If you have a program like CreataCard you could c/p and then print up stickers, magnets, cards- whatever! Good idea- I also like the one where they're stretched onto the buildings. They're all pretty cool.
I'm a preschool teacher and two of the little boys in my class today were wearing shirts just like Bret and Jemaine. One had on the blue plaid shirt that looked exactly like the one Bret has and the other was wearing a black and white striped shirt like the one Jemaine wore at the Amoeba show. I wish I would have had a camera because it was cracking me up.
I wish you'd had your camera too, I bet that was cute.
Thanks for the big versions of those pics, Laura. Those glasses are cool - they're not quite as Jemaine-y as I was expecting, lol. They actually look just like my reading glasses, except mine are black. (Yes I have reading glasses.) *hobbles away on her cane*

I was looking through my pics today for some random thing and I happened to come across this, which was at least part of the same ad campaign if not by the same artist, judging by the frame and the nameplate.
WHOA! I love that one, mock! I don't remember ever seeing it before....what a cool poster that'd make!
And let me join you in old-lady land. I just got home from the eye doctor and I now have prescription reading glasses. And since I sprained my ankle almost 2 wks ago, I've either been walking with a brace, crutches, or both. :-/ *hobblehobblehobble*
Been home from Uni this week, and my Mum's been ill, so she's been making lunch to keep busy. Today she said "I'll make some sandwiches...*pause*,, so you can eat them", I immediately replied that "That's the only way to eat sandwiches" and realised my subconscious reference.
