Sorry I've been MIA while all this excitemment's been going on. Oh H, I'm crossing my fingers for you for another show.
I remember the first Town Hall show that I cautiously dialed at two minutes before the allotted time, ending up getting the nicest box office lady. When she answered, I asked if I could buy a ticket, and she said, "in 27 seconds you can!" From what I've heard, some folks didn't get nice operators and got a hang up with mere seconds to go. So that was 2008. As SW said, 2009 for Radio City really went pretty well, although I hadn't done online buying before, and I was refreshing for a few minutes before, when suddenly it was time to buy, and the first thing I was offered was a Pit seat, not knowing that it was a most desirable place to be. I guess I lucked out on both tours.
Great H, I'm sending over some good luck vibes that you'll get the seats of your dreams.

I have to say I've recently dealt with Fenway Park, and they have the very best ticket-buying system for a major event. No matter how early before the allotted time you log on, you are placed in a virtual waiting room, and you know how close you are to the front of the line by the little person (supposed to be you) and what box the figure is pictured in. On the left is a drawing of a box office window, and then there are about 7 squares with your little person figure placed in one of the boxes, the closest to the front of the line being the box on the left. An alarm as well as a visual notice lets you know when you're at the front of the line, and you get your tickets. I got playoff tickets last Fall this way, and the seats would have been great if the Sox had made the stupid playooffs! But it is such a humane, fair, much less stressful way to buy tickets to a large venue.
I'll keep thinking good thoughts for you, Great H.
