At least she didn't stand up and yell "Yes Jemaine- I will!"

Pretty cool...I know that happened during another tour. :)

Haha, it does look like Bret and Jemaine are proposing to her. How can anyone refuse that offer? ;)

Yep, I remember when Matt Shane proposed during one of their 2009 gigs and Bret & Jemaine sang "Sellotape". You can watch a video of that proposal here. :D

But if you did I'd hold you tight / Into every single night
And we'd fall asleep together / And we'd wake up in the sunlight
Well, maybe I'm a dreamer / But maybe one day you'll see / That dreams are...

Seriously cannot wait for more deets! 8)

Some more info about the proposal by the NZ Herald:
Duo help pair make marital music
5:30 AM Monday Jul 2, 2012

Image
The Conchords' homecoming concerts have been big sellers. Photo / Herald on Sunday.

Flight of the Conchords stars Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie helped an old school mate propose to his girlfriend at Vector Arena on Saturday night.

It was a sweet touch to the comedy duo's homecoming tour which saw them play to more than 40,000 Kiwis with extra shows because of demand.

The Conchords are heading across the Tasman this week to sold-out Sydney shows.

Clement and McKenzie unfurled a banner saying "Sam will you marry me - Zane" midway through the show. The audience were treated to the backstory, Zane and Clement having a friendship from intermediate school days in Masterton. The pair were buddies, despite the social challenge of Zane being a gun shot-putter and Clement not being so great.

Sam said yes, and Zane gave his mate the thumbs up.

The pair have been busy this year. Clement stars in Men in Black III as an evil alien, while McKenzie won an Oscar for his Man or Muppet song in The Muppets film and was then made an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit in the Queen's Birthday honours.

I just realized that I have been home for nearly a week now. I caught the most terrible cold on my flight home and am just now coming out of the sickness stupor. I tried posting some pics but realized that they are all huge and I have to resize them...so it might be a little more time before I can post them. But, here are some long awaited details about my meeting with Jemaine!

Jemaine was just as others have described him. He was personable, super sweet, and looked so amazingly good it was hard to stop looking at him. He hung around the room with some friends from school (according to Arj), commented on the cool looking white jumpsuit a lady had on (she wore it just for him – knowing he would love it) and let 2 other young fans know that Bret had left right after the show since he had his “little ones” waiting for him at the hotel. Jemaine chatted with us for a good 20 minutes and then off and on again over the 2 hours that we were there. He asked us about our trip, how many shows we had seen (and joked that he hoped we had seen other things while we were in New Zealand) and about the time he had spent in my hometown. It was a small “party” and it was great to overhear conversations that were going on in the room. Nigel showed up a little later. His clothes made him look a little like a leprechaun! HA! He had on these big clogs and a green, green jacket with really wide sleeves. I still can’t believe the whole night happened! More deets in the Members section.

Sorry to hear you got ill from your flight. Jemaine really is such a sweet guy and great to talk to so I'm glad you got to experience that for yourself too. Your description of Nigel. :roll2:

Thanks so much for taking the time out to describe everything for us! Your story has put a huge smile on my face! :D :supz: :thumb:
