Rhys Interview

Postby sharishort » Wed Oct 10, 2007 3:22 pm

I just read the Rhys interview Sherry posted. How much do I love that Jemaine cannot keep a straight face when others improvise? Thats two different articles now that reference his "giggling" problem. Just endears me to the boy even more. I can only hope the DVD has extras and we get to see Mr. Clement not being able to contain himself....

It absolutely is endearing.

And your profile photo reminds me just how much a smile or laugh can change a person's face. Does Mr. Clement not look remarkably different when he breaks his character's deadpan expression? I love that talking stove scene. I encourage my own boy to smile more. It's transforming

Also, I've got to say that I laugh out loud every time I read or see a Rhys interview. That man has a fab sense of humour. There's no way I could keep a straight face within earshot of him.

His face totally transforms!! Even when he smiles during Albie on the HBO special, its more of a smirk, but its a whole new face. This man is just the gift that keeps on giving.

And I totally agree, Rhys is a riot, even on the BBC shows, his timing is perfect. When I used to do improv, I was the only one who would have to leave the stage cause of my giggling problem. I would NEVER be able to handle improvising with these guys.

I used to tell myself that it was okay to giggle cause legend had it that Laurence Olivier was a giggler too during improv. Now I can add JC to the list of my fine company. :)
