I don't think it'll be a hatchet job. At least I hope not

Besides, they never use much at all from whatever is said/written. Its the odd quote and gives them an idea of what people are thinking and the angle to write it.

Besides, there are plenty of Mel level fans out there where the Conchords are concerned

Journos not doing a hatchet job? Perhaps when pigs fly.

I seem to recall one publication putting words into halokiti's mouth last spring and making up the weirdest stuff (like people were going to the show in 2s - one with glasses?) and that UK mag that completely fabricated things about the fan who made the robot dolls. I have no desire to be part of a fan piece. I think it's icky.

But like I told SA, if it were to go the way of a Figwit type thing where we'd get together and meet FOTC, I'm in.

Aw, what the heck. I sent him an e-mail and told him my little stories. Just wanted to let him know that they have fans of all ages and such.

Traveling to Philadelpia for the day(from Texas) just to see them isn't crazy- right?!? :nails:

So Nancy, when you finally got your email to send, had you suggested a NYC fanbase meeting with them? BTW, I think you, Nancy Hilner, should be 'our' manager.

Maybe I've been lucky. Maybe its running this site and being involved with FL's. Maybe its something else. The times I've done interviews or whatever I've always been treated fairly and not been made to look stupid or badly written. Its always been decent. And some who have written articles have come back a few years later to follow things up and remain in touch.

Yes, I told David of our meetings, but now that I've heard from him, I'll go into more detail, and suggest a "fan meeting". I'll take attendance, both those prisint, and in 2-D! :D

It's not crazy at all!! And should you ever decide to do it again, we could do lunch. :D

Oh Nancy, please make sure I behave myself this time. Threaten 2-D me with a spanking and no TV for a month. Whatever you have to do. Just don't let me misbehave in front of a journalist. Even a nice one.

And tell us what you say to him! Tell us everything!*

* I can now hear my mother's voice reprimanding my impolite arse six ways to Sunday: "Please. Tell us everything please."

Yeah, yeah, yeah, Ma. So. You know. Please?

Hey- you never know if you don't try- right!? So what if you look a fool sometimes. That happens every now and then whether you like it to or not. Might as well do it in your own time and not at others. Life is too freakin' short. :partyman:

Awww heck, I just posted my letter back to David, and not once did I use the term "gush" - my favorite descriptive word from Claire!!! :bang: :bang: :bang: And it's what we here do best.

Yes, Turnip, I told of you 2-Ds I DIDN'T TELL HIM HOW OUTLANDISH YOU ALL CAN GET!!!, gave him my performing resume, and talked about how I found the guys, what I like, etc, etc. We'll see. I ended with what a neat excuse it would be for the NYC fans to meet up.

:goodnight:
