i have been playing the tab from ultimate-guitar.com and it sounded alright but i just have one problem with it. i recently watched "a texan oddesy" and i dont know if any of you have seen it but its got a clip of two of them playing / practicing this song and the part bret plays that goes.

Verse Riff: (played during last two chords of the verse chords)

that to me in the video appears to be played diffrently by bret. like it looks like hes playing with his hand in stationary position and hes reaching and hammering on frets but i cant really tell.

I've looked at the same tab and I've been trying to figure that out too. Also when he sings "what is she doing...at my mates place" they play a couple differnt chord that I can't figure out. If anyone knows how to play it it would be greatly appreciated.

What I've noticed on clips such as them preforming it on Letterman and just hearing it off of the T.V show, that the climb down little riff actually has one of them playing the same pattern on the B string. If you don't believe me, get one of your friends to play one of the parts, and you play the other (it doesn't sound good if one person plays both) and see if it's wrong then.

Never said it sounded wrong, it sounds fine, but if you watch Bret play it he doesn't move his hand up the neck it stays in place.

I listened to the HBO version and during this section they just strummed the one chord 4 few times the chord was the first chord of the song :

some parts not shown in any tabs I have seen are:

The little two string chord that gets played at the end of the "what is she doin'..." bit is just a bit of an A chord bent off kilter a bit

before that they stop on the same ole Bm9 chord from the regular progression of the song

P.S. When Bret plays that bit in A Texan Odyssey, he is playing the lower harmony to the riff (fourth below for the most part I believe) and does indeed keep his hand relatively stationary. I'll see if I can tab it up momentarilike.
