Apparently he is DJing this Wednesday (thats today!) at a club in LA

Girls, the moment has arrived. No longer do you have to dream about being in the same room as Flight of the Conchords' Bret McKenzie. The arguably "cuter" half of the band will DJ Wednesday at Bardot in Hollywood. Early arrival is suggested.

Everybody knows that the DJz girlfriend is singing incomprehensibly, but she's the only one who really knows he's been exiled. It's true, you know. This guy I know told me.

I wonder what he'll play? I'd love to know. I'll happily bake really delicious biscuits for any wonderful LA-based WTFers who get the inside scoop for me. Does anyone have any idea of the kind of music Bardot goes for? In my own private imaginary world, Bret will introduce all the hip LA peeps to some sweet Kiwi tracks, and there will be some epic booty-slamming goin' on.

Nice one, Madhuri! I LOVE little tales like that. If you're reading this, thanks for scooting over there and reporting back to the masses! Much appreciated! It makes me laugh to hear that he was playing Ting Tings tunes - the boy's musical taste is beyond eclectic.

And seconded on the Bret smoking thing. I feel genuinely badly for poor beleaguered smokers these days, but I really do loathe it. And it's rather sweetly wonderful when Reality Bret matches up with my Imaginary Bret.

Okaay.
So, I decided to put a little balance into my take-and-take relationship with these forums (mainly caused by a lack of technical eptitude :computer:

) and find something original to put on here. I noticed that only one kind person had been able to report back on Bret's recent DJ'ing stint in LA and thought I'd hunt about for any more takes on it.

Have to say I was a bit surprised by what I found :shock:
