I really thought I heard:

and I took it as some kind of "man-boobs" joke. I don't get the origami.

Whenever I see Jemaine "dancing" at the beginning when he's talking to Dave in the club I feel so bad for him coz his dancing is so nerdy. But then I remember that the real Jem is a snake hipped wonder and I don't feel so bad.

I'm pretty sure there's a joke I'm missing in there coz seeing boobs made of origami makes no sense, isn't funny and isn't exactly a universally accepted saying meaning the same as cold day in hell.

I agree about the nonsensical part, but I think it's pretty funny. One of my favorite lines of the song, and it makes me giggle every time I hear it.

I think it's pretty funny too, in its ridiculousness.
Maybe they just couldn't come up with anything else that rhymes with 'army'...?

But why would they even mention the army?
They way I see it, they thought up the line while drunk/after a long day of work. So at the time, it seems like the most hilarious thing ever. They write all the lines around it. Then the next day they realize how nonsensical it is, but they can't be bothered to think up something new.
