I kind of like that it's a continuing tease. If they did a third season, I'd probably get a kick out of them doing yet another episode where you keep thinking they're going to break into the song, but never do.

Me too! Anytime I with someone and they start to say, "In terms of...." I immediately finish, "volume?"

That phrase runs through my mind on a daily basis.

What is it that is so funny about that line?? It always makes me giggle, too!

Also the part about how he never goes to the Presbyterian Fair - there's too many Presbyterians there.

AND, then the bit about how Paula's hair is flowing like the Wairahunga River, which, incidentally, is to your right. :D

(I apologize for my mangling of the name of the river. I have no idea what the real name is. I actually tried looking it up in an atlas so I could see what it is, and I couldn't find it. But I did the research!)

I always substitute "Monongahela River" which is a river in Pennsylvania, because I know that exists.

I have no idea why these phrases in BSD tickle me so much either, but I do love them. Maybe it's the boring documentation of them, (the places on the tour), mixed in with the obvious emotion the driver is feeling and he jumps the chasm between the two in mere nano-seconds...and somehow, that's funny and addicting.

Here's some rivers in NZ - I'm sure it must be one of them:

Could you kindly point me in the direction of it?

Is Jemaine wearing Bret's socks?!

Nahh, those are argyle socks.

Those two have such cool clothes. I noticed the last time I went shopping that I subconsciously bought a load of animal shirts. I was giggling for awhile afterward.

I think it would have been wonderful if they did the bus-driver song as an early-struggling-young-naive-sexy-band-does-bus-gigs flashback whenupon we see Jemaine guitaring in faux-maori garb, further explaining his discomfort with expressing his maori heritage.

That's my short fan-fictional adjustment anyhoo.

Loved the episode.

I'd say it's pretty easy to find, as it's here in this same section and is a thread that stays at the top with the weekly episode thread. It's also called FOTC HBO Series: second season speculation and spoilers, which I would think would be fairly obvious.

I thought that was possibly a reference to Tales of the Maori, a show he did with Taika back in the day. I can't see well enough, but suspect if you zoom in on the title of the book it would read something like FOLK TALES of New Zealand or FOLK TALES of the Maori.

I couldn't see anyone else who commented this, but you are correct, eagle eye: It was FOLK TALES of New Zealand. :thumb:

I took a guess as to the spelling of the name and found something promising. There's a Waimahunga road, which looks to run near some streams, perhaps one of which is the mighty, voluminous Waimahunga River.
