Anyone know if they will be meeting fans after the show?

I was just thinking that...

I would suggest waiting until the reviews are posted on the first few shows to see if they come out to meet fans afterwards...that's my plan.

I would hope they'd keep up the meet and greet. I figure just because they've gotten more fans since the last tour doesn't mean all those fans are as dedicated as some of us who would wait 30-60 minutes to meet/greet them...that's what I'm hoping I guess.

And if not it'll be amazing just to be in the 4th row in front of Jemaine :)

thanks, that's a great idea to look at the reviews!

I got 12th row, on the left side myself...

It's always a small % of the total who wait for the artists after the show anyway. Last year I'd guestimate 150 people at Philly out of a sold out 3,000 seat show.

Last year the meet and greet made up for my completely crappy seats. This year I have good seats so that's something at least. But yeah, we'll know by the time our shows come along what the deal is because we'll no doubt hear from folks who attended the shows before us. Though I'm not so sure anyone here is from FL or attending any of the real early shows. Also some of the larger venues don't really lend themselves to it and obviously they won't have time to come out between shows when they are doing 2 in one night but I have a good feeling about my Philly show since that's where I saw them last year and it's not too big or anything. We'll see. ....

I didn't realize this but according to the website, the Fox theater is second in size only to Radio City. Though, this was back in the 80's when it was remodeled - so possibly that has changed. It's got 5000 seats in it (5100 if you count the orchestra pit - where I'll be! :D ). I'm hoping they come out - if not, at least I'll be close DURING the show. I don't think I'm lucky enough to get both great seats AND a meet and greet...but I can still dream!

I'm starting to get really antsy and excited about going to this show. I'm hoping that if there is a meet and greet, that I can convince my best friend to stick around. She's never seen the show and knows little about the Conchords and even in May, it could still be COLD in Minneapolis! We could freeze waiting - it'd be totally worth it for me, but I don't know if I could convince her of the same!

Don't think like that, it WILL work out. You will meet the guys, and make some ridiculously funny comment to Jemaine about his beard, and you will laugh and get wonderful pictures... only to come rushing home after and post your recap and incredible M&G experience for all of us to share in your joy!

Have a truly spectacular time!!!

Hoping you're enjoying a great show right now, mohumbhaimania! (Of course it's great!)

Vibing for really nice weather and that you'll not listen if they tell you the guys aren't coming out......I want to see pics of you with them. :)

Heard the show was delayed because of some fire alarms getting a mind of their own

Yes. It was hilarious. The band and Eugene made references to it, and Nigel tried to play the sound on the synthesiser.

I was bummed - I waited 1.5 hours outside to find they left right away. That makes sense, the next gig is in Houston.

But a terrific show. I was avoiding all kind of reports as much as I could, and was really nicely surprised.

I got no pix.

Anyhoo, I am beat and will talk about it later.

I made a couple of CDs for the Conchords of some really offbeat kids records that kind of fit their aesthetic.

Anyone know how I can get them to 'em?

Time 2 sleep.
love mo-mania

Yes, and they wouldn't stop! The show was delayed by about 45 min, and the balcony was evacuated. No fire, and everyone had a good sense of humor about it all. The set list I remember, in no particular order:

Too Many Dicks (w/robot headgear and disco ball codpieces)
Albi
Business Time
Busdriver's Song
Jenny
Stana
Most Beautiful Girl
I'm In Love With...
Carol Brown
I'm Not Crying
Sugalumps
Issues
Demon Woman (encore)

Not many hecklers. I heard one Freebird request, which Bret shot down with "Wrong concert." A guy in my row earned the nickname of Madam after yelling something to Jemaine. The boys made a mention of including Nigel in on the chats. I really liked how Jemaines described the NZ National Orchestra as being made up of Nigel, a trumpeter, and a guy dancing in the corner until budget cuts left it just at Nigel. More later, laptop dying...

Word on the street is that they haven't been doing m&gs due to the h1n1 virus ... pre-emptive strike against contracting that nasty bug...I can definitely understand why, just makes me  for the healthy people who have to go without because of some piggies with issues

Ah, well, yeah. They can't really cancel shows at this point.

I just would like to get the CDs to them, so I will just send them to HBO or something.
