Which FOTC Song is stuck in your head?

Postby songbird » Sat May 16, 2009 7:45 pm

Because we all know that at some point during our day, we have an FOTC song stuck in our heads that just doesn't seem to want to get out of there...

For me right now, my brain is alternating between the Femident Toothpaste jingle and Love is Your Weapon of Choice.

Carol Brown (or choir of ex-girlfriends) is driving me insane.

The past week I've been stressed out and without fail I've woken up every morning with Mutha Uckers stuck in my head.

In my head right now, Bret certainly has Got It Goin' On. And on, and on, and on...
That's the conclusion that I've come to, but...

I listen to my mp3 player during my first half of my shift at work (I work at Target counting money in a nice bullet/sound proof office). So I listen to FOTC pretty frequently in the morning and then WITHOUT FAIL I will have an FOTC song stuck in my head for the rest of the day when I'm up at Guest Service (at times I don't realize how long I'm singing and some of my cashier friends tell me they can hear me singing a good 20 feet away).

This past week the following songs have been stuck in my head:

Business Time
Stana (this one is stuck in my head at LEAST once a day)
Bret, You've Got It Goin On

it's called an earworm....a song, line from a movie, anything stuck in your head on repeat. and, like J&B's sugalumps, it drives me craaaaayzeeee...sometimes...
i am way more forgiving when it's related to FOTC....

lately for me it's been 'carol brown'...
one side of my brain sings jemaine's parts,
other side sings the GF choir...
and then i'll spontaneously combust with an
"...ooooo weee could eat ceeereallll..." outloud....

i did it today, in the cereal aisle of the grocery store.

...Detroit - City of Tomorrow...

take this sinking boat and point it home..we've still got time...

Me too! This particular song seems to be embedded in my brain all the time...it's always in my head, it never fails to make appearances in my mind at totally random times, so I'll just be walking down the street and think of some funny line and then start laughing to myself...I've gotten more than one odd look because of that

I Told You I Was Freekie. It's also making me devote a lengthy amount of time into trying to figure out exactly how one makes love to a cake tin.

Whenever I take the bus from my faculty to the train station (long commute from home to uni..no wonder it's taking me so long to graduate..) I play the Bus Driver Song on my iPod..it just makes me so happy

..I´m such a dork

Also.. this week I've had the Conchords Broadway song in my mind quite often..
my head's stuck in a chair.. :rolls:
But if you did I'd hold you tight / Into every single night
And we'd fall asleep together / And we'd wake up in the sunlight
Well, maybe I'm a dreamer / But maybe one day you'll see / That dreams are...

Various songs, but the line which I keep humming the most is the "for your information, there's an inflammation in my tear gland" from I'm Not Crying. I don't know why I find it so compelling.
Per diem means 'for the day', though... Per weekem would be the correct term.

ME TOO! I always start at that EXACT same point, too!

It's such a beautiful song - gives me the warm fuzzies just listening to it!

Me as well!! And it's ALWAYS from that spot in the song too!! :D

Tonight me and my sister were at a party, and we both had Carol Brown stuck in our heads, so we just sat at the table singing the whole song together. After that, we proceeded to sing through as much of Stana as we could remember (there are A LOT of words...), so now I've entered the point in my day where Stana gets stuck in my head.

How interesting! Before I even read this thread the Bus Driver song was in my head, and YES, it's the part that starts "Look to your left..." Must be something catchy with the brain waves on that verse.
