Hey All!
I had to work late or this would have been earlier.
We were seats 10-11 front pit.
Just right of Bret...see pics.
The crowd was mellow at first, but they got into it later. The sound was clear and they appeared to be having a blast! Bret forgot the words to a lot of songs, and incorporated that into the songs. The set was a good one too. The usual hits, a lot of chit chat...They chatted about whales being an "
issue" unable to use cell phones. Then Bret started making whale solunds I thought maybe they were gonna break into "Mermaids". That was a deliberate deek, and he chuckled and switched back to...
whats wrong with the world today? All without missing a beat, very cute.
Oh, first Arj sang along with the opening song "Humans..." while the boys were in the Robot suits and playing the instruments,that was very cool.
They added Nigel from the NZ Orchestra. (An Orchestra of 3 but two could not make it.) He played the cello and hung back to the left of Jemaine.
Yeah, then some people shouting out requests did throw them off. It was weird because by now they should be used to it, no? Anyway, of course some idiot requested "Freebird" so they sang it!! and I got it, and will try to get a link for my youtube page like the others did but I am not that computer sauvy, so it may take awhile.
Anyway, I hope these pics don't come out giant...I will post them below in a new window.
I was sad that there was
no meet and greet. However, Arj was so cool,
and we were able to chat with him after the crowd died out. Although it did take awhile. Some a-hole security guard said "They are already gone, they left, go home." That is when Arj said to go around there and pointed over to the other end. But the crowd grew to about 50 people pretty quickly and they announced they would not be out. Too bad too, because it was very warm waiting in that crowd, around 97 degrees that night at about 10:30.
Their crew bus broke down, and they had to get a replacement. One of crew said it was too f-ing hot here for the bus.
If anyone has tips on making my pics and videos a success please let me know, you can PM me so I don't look like too much of an idiot. I have all downloaded to computer and will attempt to upload pics here and video on my youtube page.
