Hello from Bath (the city, not an actual bath)

Postby ZebraWarriorPrincess » Sun May 24, 2009 10:00 pm

Hi,

I've been lurking for a while, and thought it was about time to join in, as this board is wicked!

My FOTC obsession started when I broke my leg and was confined to the sofa for a few week and was loaned a huuuge pile of DVDs - Series 1 never made it out of the DVD player.....
There are scary echoes of my own life in there...

Right now, I am baking a almond and orange cake and drinking a bottle of wine in preparation....

Welcome, ZebraWarriorPrincess!!

I think you're definitely going to like it here. It's a great place with tons of awesomely nice people who are all equally obsessed with everything FOTC related. :D

Heheh, thanks for clearing that up. You obviously read about the misunderstanding with Christchurch, New Zealand.

Welcome!

Thank you so much for the welcome! I have tried to get my boyfriend into it, but he's not really got it, and finds it really unfunny. Strange man....
It will be excellent to talk to other similarly obsessed people!
I had a colleague who used to refer to Bath as 'the Bath' when on the phone....it made me laugh when she said we were 'in the Bath. I need to grow up.

Missed the Christburch thing, but it sounds funny!

Welcome :D How long have you been in 'the Bath'? If you live there you must look like a raisin by now

Like you I have tried getting OH interested without any success. Also I have noticed that the more I like them the less likely it is that he will give them a chance. :P Then this forum is a great place to meet people who enjoy FOTC as much as me, and some even a bit more :D

hello and welcome. have fun here, it's a great place :)

regarding your location, my brother-in-law lived in a house
on bath street in california. he used to refer to it as
"the bath house"....many jokes about it all those years ;)

I can only imagine....I think there would be plenty of comedy mileage in it.
I've spent most of my life here (aside from 4 years in Cardiff)
Mine's hated everything I find funny - Pulling, Green Wing, Mighty Boosh Peep Show, Summer Heights High. However, I did have some success with the Inbetweeners.
However, none of these are as funny as FOTC, or have the hottie quotient!

Welcome! I think your name is one of the best screen names I've seen in ages!

DH actually loves Green Wing and Peep Show, which is why I'm so disappointed that he won't watch FOTC :P But I suspect that has something to do with said hottie quotient :worry:

Thanks - not sure it work with the UK pronounciation of zebra, but never mind!

I will try serenading him with a mash-up of 'Business Time' and 'I told you I was Freaky'....that shouls sort it all out. Failing that, gin.

Hi ZebraWarriorPrincess!

Welcome! I'm sort of new to WTF as well. This is a great group and the absolute best place to chit chat about the guys and everything.
~Oh, that's not fair...I'm really ticklish~
