Um, hi, everyone?

So. Flight of the Conchords. My friend introduced me to them sometime last year by showing me some of their live and One Night Stand performances and a couple of clips from the TV show on YouTube; I thought they were highly amusing and Bret was cute but not much more. I got the idea of getting her the season 1 DVD for Christmas, but the local nerd shop didn't have it in stock, so I bought a gift card for it. She then kept forgetting to go actually claim the DVD... until last week. She invited me to her place to watch it; we marathoned all twelve episodes and, well, yeah. I loved the general feel of it immediately, but I think it was "Mugged" that really caught my attention, "Bowie" that sold me, and then "Girlfriends" that made me fall completely in love.

Out of Bret and Jemaine, I still prefer Bret, who pushes all my adorable buttons in the TV series and, now that I've gone and watched some of those live performances again, is genuinely hot up on stage when he's not pretending as much to be an absurdly naïve bulimic weirdo who keeps a mold farm. However, they're still best when they're together giving that lovely contrast to one another and being hilarious.

In any case, I'm basically obsessed with them right now and still desperately trying to get my hands on the second season of the TV show. I hope to enjoy sharing my love for the Conchords here.

Hi, guys. Thanks for the warm welcome. :)

I'm from Iceland. Sadly, that means I'm about as far as I can possibly get from New Zealand.

Another Nordic. Yay! :D (Norway? Present)

You might be far from NZ, but you've got eartquakes and sheep. Just close you're eyes and pretend

A warm welcome to you, antialiasis!

Read Sherry's forum guidelines and then post away.

What's the weather like in Iceland in July? :puzzled:

Good, for the most part. Usually between 10 and 25 degrees Celsius. The amount of rain varies each year.

That sounds so nice. We've had nonstop 100+ degree (Fahrenheit) days here in Austin (37 Celsius).

Oh, and welcome! :welcome:

Poor funny schipperke! :goodman: Sorry it's been so hot.

Antialiasis, I meant to mention if you need any technical help, check the General section, (How Do You Do That? is a good one) and ask any question - there are no questions too basic, and the folks here are very helpful.

Enjoy all the different sections! :D

Once you enter the Bret thread, you will never want to leave. He is much too irresistable.
And we're a good folk. For the most part.
