Having issues posting pictures

Postby bakergirl30 » Fri Jul 03, 2009 3:02 am

So tonight Ive tried posting a few pictures and everytime I try to add file it says something like" attachment quota has been reached."

This has happened to me before and a lttile bit later it's fine. But am I doing something wrong?? :worry:
Anyone else have this issue before? If so how can you correct it?

Thanks!

Odd! I've been getting the same message today. Now I have to post pictures the old-fashioned, hard way and upload them to photobucket.

I just tried posting a picture as attachment and got the same message.
However I was able to post a picture from my photobucket to the Jemaine thread. :?

Hmmm that sounds like something that we can fix. Chances are the attachment space is full (you've posted so many pics) and I need to increase it.

Blimey  That's a HUGE amount of pics attached around the forum. I'm not sure I can increase it massively as its already about 10 times the standard setting.

I guess most people are using this option over hosting a pic off site and using tags. Personally I prefer using the latter so never bother with attachments.

Let me look in to it some more.

Yes, I signed up for a Photobucket account the other day when I couldn't use the attachment feature. I'd rather have to host my pictures elsewhere than have any of the old content here disappear in order to make space. There's so much older stuff here that I haven't had a chance to look at yet. :worry:

OK so I've increased it to 200MB. You've all used up 50MB so far with image attachments so 200MB should keep you going a while.

All I ask is people don't upload massive images (byte wise) and scale them down a bit before uploading them. That way we can host a lot more. I don't want to limit file size but 250kb is a decent quality and size pic, they don't have to be original 1MB size or anything.

Cool. I post the majority from Photobucket but it's nice to just get them from my puter's pics sometimes. :)
I'll continue doing more photobucket, though...
