That sounded very pretty Linda! And Bar Italia is one of my favorite Pulp songs. :D

Haha! I was looking at my tabs so I knew when to change chords, nonch ;) And on my tabs sheet I have it says [???] for the word in question. But I'm so positive that it's 'call' that I emphasized it just for you :D

Also - I haven't found a good place yet to put my camera where you can see me and the uke without it cutting off my head, or the uke, or without me having to stand up and play (which other ukers can tell you - is kind of difficult)

I'm going to try to post my "If You're Into It" and "Carol Brown" a bit later - though both of them came out worse than the two I've posted so...maybe I won't ;) LOL

biscuit, FYI, maybe it's just my computer but the volume on your vids is really low for me.

I'm a Pulp fan yet had never heard Bar Italia.

The mic on my computer sucks! I need to buy a proper one. I just need to figure out what kind is the best first. I'm just learning all this stuff now :P

If You're Into It:

I'm not putting up "Carol Brown". I may record it later and post it, but the version I did last night was horrendous. It doesn't help that it's almost completely out of my voice range :/ That's the only reason why I haven't done "Song for Sally" yet either. I can play the chords but I can't sing it. It's too low, but if I moved it up an octave: a.) It'd sound weird and b.) I can't sing that high.

I have a mezzo-soprano voice. Not quite alto, not quite soprano :?

Great

You could try and change the key you play the songs in, if you think they're hard to sing. :)

I love how you rolled your eyes when you sang 'double team'

:yay: I just had the sh*#%est day at work and you know that the first thing I wanted to do when I got home was head to this thread. Even before the Bret photo thread! *gasp* And what a good choice. Instant smiles. Kelly and Biscuit. Loved those songs. You can't stop posting vids. I haven't spent 2 minutes with Drew in 2 days. :( I promise I'll give him a work out tonight, though. Well done ladies. more please?

Oh, and Kelly it's nice to know that whoever tabbed One by One also has doubts about the lyric. :roll2: and isn't afraid to admit it.

Well after the day i've had I'm afraid I'm suffering from very low self esteem at the moment. I can barely keep myself from crawling under my bed and sucking my thumb for a few months.

But who knows after a good workout and some strong drink, I may be up for anything?!?!?! :D

And a little Bret time... :waggle: Can't you talk a bit for us though Biscuit? Lurv the accent. 8) McKenzie is so cute, even though I didn't get a full shot of him. He sounds wonderful. Does he still get out of tune quick?

I'm worried my husband will draw the line at posting a video though. How did you manage it?

I don't have an accent

How do you mean how I managed it? It's not that hard technically

McKenzie isn't too bad now:) Stays in tune for quite som time. It's the cheap strings that bother me. He will get better with the new ones I ordered from England

I know, right?!?! I'm heading over there now though, even though you and Kelly are looking good :boogie:

I don't think I have caught the dreaded UAS but I've certainly developed some odd symptoms. Air strumming/fretting in the car when the WIUO songs come on. Listening to every song wondering what the chords are. Planning my life around uke practice. And now my favorite thread is this one??!?!?!?!!

I wonder if I need better strings? I didn't even check on that. :hrm: How do you know?

Where is my new video?... :waiting:

It's loading, oh queen of all the Bret-y pics :prayer:

Strumming everywhere and listening for chords is normal:)

If you're pleased with the strings you've got, they're fine
