When rewatching the scene when they are in Dave's bedroom getting together their evening attire....the mousetrap shirt and the casual Prince blouse....I had to do a double take, I thought maybe Mel did the red painting/poster on his wall.....reminds me of her Jemaine fan art painting......or is it just me?

Hmm, I don't know about the picture, I'll have to check it the next time I watch. I lent out my S1 DVD and I haven't gotten it back yet. Maybe a screencap...? Speaking of screencaps, this whole part with the acids and the threesome is one of my favorite scenes in the whole season. I wish I had a screencap of them in the transom window.



What the heck is he DOING?? OMG, this picture just CRACKS ME UP! The belt! The shirt! The underwear! Stop it, Jemaine, you're killing me.

I love how Daryl Hall as the MC gets their name completely wrong at first, and when he's rushing them off the stage, gets it perfect!

You know what I just noticed about the pic of Jemaine in the bathroom - there's no toilet paper, or toilet paper roll holder. Actually the set-up of this bathroom has always bugged me. I know that's kind of weird, but it does. Why is there a window that leads into the living room?? Where is the bathtub? Why is the towel rack all the way over next to the toilet?? It's the most poorly designed bathroom I've ever seen, I hope those girls got a break on their rent because of it, lol.

I wonder who that's a picture of, next to the medicine cabinet.

Sorry but the only thing I want to figure out is WHY are his pants down??? It's very distracting..

I think this was the BEST epi of S1.... if just for the meeting after 'incident' (aka: man man lady threesome ) the Casual Prince look is just the cherry on top

I think this is also the best written one of S1 too.

To me, it's my second favorite after Drive By. Very close second.

Casual Prince... Dave's roomies who he thinks make those pictures on the computer... goofy prancing....

Each time me and my best bud watch this one we end up gigglin' like folks who can not leave the facility without a daypass and a keeper.

I give you - the bird, Albi, Telephone! You make the call, Leggie Blonde, Taika directing, Muthauckas, Bret's box, and the racist fruit vendor! Those make me giggle like crazy, too.

It's a close second!

I wondered about the tub and the window too, mockingbird. My thought is that the house Summer lives in was a single family home that was cut up into apartments. Certain rooms tend to have a funny set up in houses like that. My guess is that the tub is around the corner from the door, or in a separate rooms. Bathtubs were sometimes put in a different room than the toilet in the 19th century because it was considered unhygenic to bathe in the same room that you did your business.

And yes, I'm aware that I spent a good five minutes of my life working this highly important scenario out.

You know, I never noticed that at the end when they were both saying good night to Mel on the webcam, Bret's shirt says Sorry, Mel on it. That's kinda sweet of them to apologize to her. She is their only fan.



Another thing I just noticed because I'm slow, Mel using a screwdriver to get into the bathroom to talk to Bret.

When I was a young adult (it pains me a little to say that ) I spent a lot of time in these broken up old house apartments you describe, so I know what you're talking about. That window just doesn't make sense to me though. It looks too much like it belongs on the outside of a house. Maybe half the apartment was added on to the outside of an older building? I guess that's possible.



Me too. Cumulatively we're up to ten minutes.

That's a kinder way of looking at it than I did - I thought either Mel or Murray told them to do it. I don't know what made me think that, probably just my own cold-hearted nature, lol.
